Description
The VDV MultiMedia Cable Tester is designed to test all common low voltage cabling systems found in today’s automated homes; voice, data or video networks. The VDV MultiMedia Cable Tester has a large, bright LCD display and four momentary buttons used to directly access each function. The remote attaches to the main unit for storage and patch cable testing.
- Tests coaxial cable for opens, shorts, miswires, reversals and split pairs and indicates correct wire map with F-connector interface for video testing
- Supports 3-pair USOC and 6-position RJ-11/12 jacks for telephone and voice testing
- Supports both shielded and unshielded cable testing to T568A/B for data testing
- Easy-to-read LCD display with "pass" or "error" indicator after each test
- Automatic shutoff with low-battery indicator
- Tone generator supports 4 different tones for easy fault isolation
- Remote wire map and testing unit stored inside tester for convenience
- Includes a 200 Amp service-rated Nexus smart switch with digital load management technology
