I love holding the HTC One, it feels sturdy and well built. I can text with one hand so it’s not too wide like a phablet but makes great use of the screen real estate. One of my biggest reasons for leaving iPhone behind for the Inspire was because of the screen size and quality.
The HTC One is thin enough to fit in shirt pockets or small hand bags even a wallet but not too thin that I don’t feel like I have a good grip when holding it. I always buy cases for my phone’s so that I can get a good grip on it and this is the first time I feel like I can carry a phone without a case. The build quality just feels great right out of the box.
I love the high quality resolution of the screen. The font type is clear, image quality is crisp that I would actually read a book on my HTC One. Gaming apps are fun because the speaker quality sounds better than some hand-held devices like the DS.
The battery has been great so far but I am still a firm believer that the more you use obviously the more you will lose. I am picking up my phone less and not reacting to every single notification I get. I listen to music on my 30 minute round-trip work commute and when I get into the car I plug it into my car stereo to listen to my music and have a hands-free conversation if I get a call. This leaves me with about three quarters battery life which is pretty good.
What I appreciate most is that now having the HTC One in hand even if given the choice in color I love the platinum color of the HTC One. It’s not shiny and cheap but more matte, sophisticated and with beautiful lines like a skyscraper.
